Los animales de concreto del Jardín Toriello en #Tlalpan

Buenas tardes vecinos, les compartimos estas esculturas de concreto de las muy pocas que sobreviven actualmente en la ciudad y muy distintivos de las épocas posteriores a su creación.

En los años setenta, el Instituto Nacional de Protección a la Infancia y el Departamento del Distrito Federal, contactaron al escultor Alberto Pérez Soria para que diseñara mobiliario urbano dirigido a los niños: los famosos animales de concreto, quien se inspiró en la fascinación y asombro que los niños suelen tener por los animales. El mobiliario fue hecho para reproducirse en todo el país y permanecieron por más de cuarenta años en cientos de parques públicos.

Durante la década de 1980 estos animales de concreto comenzaron a ser sustituidos por juegos prefabricados y más tarde para la década de 1990 desaparecieron casi por completo como resultado de las remodelaciones realizadas en espacios públicos, poco a poco fueron sustituidos por juegos de metal y en la actualidad por juegos de plástico, dejando atrás varias generaciones que crecieron con estos simpáticos animalitos.
